Dear MSA Members,
Thank you for your ongoing work at Hamilton Health Sciences, your dedication to your patients, your hospital and your community. Despite our plans, returning to an in-person MSA meeting for January was not possible without administrative support. Therefore, our meeting on January 19th will be on zoom at 6PM. We regret this change, but will ensure that the meeting is vibrant, informative and that it gives the opportunity for interaction.
The link for the meeting is*: see email and meeting invite for zoom info
Our theme for this MSA meeting is:
Tell me Something, Ask me Something, Answer me Something!
Although we are finalizing the details for the meeting, it will include limited presentations, and more chance for questions and discussions. Some topics will include:
• The rebuild of the Juravinski Hospital.
• The rebuild of the HGH emergency room.
• The chronic shortage of beds at HHS (we are always 72 beds over census)
• The recent crises at the McMaster Children’s Hospital (what now?)
• What does the MSA need to do to get physicians the ability to improve their work environments?
We look forward to using this new forum as a way for physicians to meet, learn and act.
Our subsequent meeting on April 20th will include the Annual Art Show and Awards – location to be confirmed.
In the interim, we will keep you up to date on the important changes happening in the place where you work and the things that will affect your practices.
Thank you again for your service and we look forward to seeing you at the meeting.
